Matteo Lanati received his M.Sc and Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He then joined the European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering (Eucentre) to work on distributed computing and wireless transmission applied to body area networks. In 2011 he moved to the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre where he takes care of the local grid and cloud infrastructure.
